She made her debut as a director with the short film, THE GOD WHO VISITS, starring Nicole C. Mullen. She co-wrote the script and also produced the music for this film. Gifford provides support to a variety of organizations for children, including Childhelp. She is also a member of an organization called the Association to Benefit Children, which spawned Cassidy's Place. She is a dedicated humanitarian and received an honorary degree at Marymount University for her humanitarian efforts in the field of labor relations.
